Remembering Tristan
In Memory of Tristan Leopold
Dear community, we have some heavy, heartbreaking news to share with you. You may recognize Tristan from earlier this year when during the ice storm, he stepped up and volunteered to stay for five days at the shelter by himself to keep all the animals safe and cared for. We are devastated to let you know that Tristan passed away a few days ago in a tragic accident outside of work. Tristan was a kennel tech at PAWS for nearly two years, but he was SO much more than that- he was our friend, our brother, protector of PAWS. Tristan was deeply dedicated to the animals he cared for, and had a special and gentle way that made them trust him quickly. He was genuine and kind and always ready to share his amazing sense of humor with you. He was eager to help, excited to show you his latest snake or spider discovery, and authentically happy to hear how you were doing. It would be rare to see Tristan without a giant smile on his face!
In honor of Tristan's memory - his family would like any donations in his name to go to PAWS Shelter, where Tristan worked and was truly so adored.
